# Use Trillion screens inside your AI conversation

> Open Trillion screens in a supported AI chat, work with connected files and records, and continue from the same saved work across your AI apps.

We built Trillion so you can bring the work into the AI conversation you already use. In an AI app that supports Trillion's interactive screens, you can open the relevant work, make a change and keep the result in your Trillion account.

You might be talking through a page with your AI and reach the point where you need to see the page. You need to move a section, choose a picture or use a tool on the page. Having the controls beside the conversation lets you act while the reason for the change is still in front of you.

The point I keep coming back to is “all connected to data all doing real stuff.” A useful screen gives you something to change. A useful connection keeps the result available for the next part of the job.

## Open the page you want to change

The [Sites editor](https://gettrillion.ai/features/sites) gives you a page to work on and a panel of parts you can add. The screenshot includes Field Notes reflection, a tool for turning a short note into a reflection and a next step. The Add to page button puts the tool where someone can use the tool alongside the page's text.

A page with a working tool lets a visitor do the thing the page describes. Someone can read what the reflection tool does, enter a note and use the result in the same place. You can change the surrounding page so the explanation fits the person you want to reach.

You can also preview the page at phone width, save a draft, return to an earlier version and publish at a trillion.run address. Each control has a clear job. The preview lets you inspect the page before a visitor opens the page on a phone. The saved draft gives you a place to continue the next time you work on the page.

## Keep the picture connected to the page

*Files and Media in the Trillion web workspace.*

The [Files screen](https://gettrillion.ai/features/files) gives you somewhere to find the picture you want to use. You can inspect the file before asking your AI to use the picture on the page. The visible search and view controls help you find the right item when your saved work includes more than one kind of file.

We keep the original file in your Trillion file space. The web preview and the AIs you connect can use that same original, so changing AI apps does not require making another Trillion copy of the picture. The file stays identifiable as the picture you selected.

The [Mac drive connection](https://gettrillion.ai/#ways-in) extends the same idea to desktop work. Files appear in Finder, where an app that opens ordinary files can read them. A desktop app reads the file data the app needs. If another service requires an upload, the service still receives the requested bytes.

The benefit is a clear place to find the original when the page needs another edit, another crop or a different use of the same picture.

## Continue with the AI you choose

The page and picture are part of a larger job. You may have discussed why the page matters, which audience the page is for and what the finished page should help someone do. Those decisions belong beside the work.

Our [connection approach](https://gettrillion.ai/articles/should-you-build-a-custom-ai-tool-or-connect) starts with the AI you already use. Connect that AI to your Trillion account and let the AI read the relevant decisions, files and tools. When the AI saves work in Trillion, another AI connected to the same account can read the saved work.

A conversation can then continue from the saved page, file or task result. You can ask a different connected AI to inspect the same item and explain what needs changing. The saved item gives the second AI a concrete starting point.

Shared access also needs a clear boundary. A [Space](https://gettrillion.ai/features/spaces) contains the work shared with that group. A teammate works from the items available in the Space. Your private work remains in your private Trillion.

## Choose the screen that fits the next action

A page is useful when you need to see the arrangement of the work. A list is useful when you need to sort the items that still need attention. A document is useful when you need to read and edit the explanation.

In Trillion, [different views can use the same records](https://gettrillion.ai/features/views). You can arrange the work on a canvas, read the work as a document or move the work across a board. A change to the underlying record is available in the other views of that record.

Your connected AI can bring up the relevant Trillion screen when the AI app supports that screen. You can then point at the item, inspect the current value and use the controls around the item. The conversation supplies the reason for the change; the screen gives you a direct way to make the change.

For a page with a reflection tool, the useful view depends on the question. The page preview helps you judge the layout. The Files screen helps you choose the picture. The saved decisions explain why the page is being made.

## Use the marketplace to finish the job

The [Marketplace](https://gettrillion.ai/marketplace) describes tools and workflows your connected AI can find by the job you need done. Each listing explains the job, the inputs and how to use the tool. You can inspect the relevant listing before choosing a tool for the work.

Some tools return a file or a result. Some provide interactive controls. A workflow lays out several steps and the result each step must return. The number of tools in a catalog tells you how many listed capabilities exist; the number does not tell you how many complete visual editors exist.

For a page that needs material from a recording, your AI can find a transcription tool and use the resulting text in the writing work. A saved tool result gives the next step something specific to read. A [workflow](https://gettrillion.ai/features/workflows) can check whether the expected result was returned before the next step starts.

The finished page still needs to be opened and checked. A successful tool response tells you where to look; the page a visitor can use tells you whether the job is finished.

## Try the connection on one piece of work

You can start with a saved list or file that you recognize.

1. [Connect your AI to Trillion](https://app.gettrillion.ai/docs) using the setup for the AI app you use.
2. Ask your AI to find the saved item by name and show the relevant Trillion screen.
3. Inspect the item and make a small change using the controls available in that AI app.
4. Open the same item in Trillion on the web and check the saved change.
5. If you use another connected AI, ask that AI to read the same item and continue from the saved result.

ChatGPT and Claude both support interactive apps. OpenAI describes [apps inside ChatGPT](https://openai.com/index/introducing-apps-in-chatgpt/), and Anthropic documents [interactive connectors inside Claude](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/13454812-use-interactive-connectors-in-claude). The available Trillion screens depend on the AI app, its connection and its support for interactive content. The screenshots above are from the Trillion web workspace.

## The short version

- You can keep using the AI you chose and connect that AI to your Trillion work.
- Interactive screens give you controls for the item you need to inspect or change.
- Saved files, records and tool results give the next connected AI a concrete place to continue.
- Start with one item, make a change and check the saved result in Trillion.

## Questions people ask

### Can I use Trillion inside ChatGPT or Claude?

You can connect ChatGPT or Claude to your Trillion account using the connection setup for that app. Interactive screens depend on the app's support for Trillion's screen content. The screenshots in this article show the Trillion web workspace.

### What happens to my work when I change AI apps?

Work saved in Trillion stays in your Trillion account. Another AI connected to the same account can read the saved files, records and task results available to that connection. Ask the second AI to open the same item so the next conversation starts from the saved work.

### Does every marketplace tool have a visual editor?

A marketplace listing describes a capability, which may return a file, perform an action or run several checked steps. Some tools have an interactive screen. Read the listing for the particular job you want done.

### Can I use a Trillion file in a desktop app?

The Mac drive connection makes Trillion files available in Finder. Apps that open ordinary files can read from that drive, and the file data is fetched as the app requests the data. An external service that requires an upload still receives the bytes the service needs.

## Make this yours

Your AI can apply this to what you are pursuing right now: it reads what you are working on, finds where this fits, and does the first step.
