Check a move to another stage

See which stage a deal, order or applicant is in, which stages it can move to next, and whether it may move to the stage you want

Give the stages (a pipeline, deal stages, order states), the moves allowed between them, the start stage and the record's moves so far. Returns where the record is now, every next stage with why it is or is not open, and, when you name a stage in to, whether it may move there and the move to keep with the record. A finished stage never has a way out, and a move naming a stage that is not declared is refused.

What it asks for

  • stages (Needed, list): Every stage, once each
  • transitions (Needed, list): The moves allowed between stages
  • start (Needed, words): The stage a record with no moves is in
  • moves (Optional, list): The record's moves so far, oldest first (empty: it is in the start stage)
  • signals (Optional, details): Facts the moves' when conditions read, like {"paid": true} or {"days_quiet": 12}
  • to (Optional, words): Optional: the stage you want to move the record to
  • at (Optional, words): Optional: when the move happens (ISO time; default now)
  • because (Optional, words): Optional: why it moves, kept on the move
