Render an edit

Render a video from an edit decision list: cuts, speed changes, reframing, captions, music and layouts of your files

Renders one edit in the media-composition edit format (spine.segments of clips with in, out, speed, speed_ramp, reframe, crop, fades; split layouts; subtitles.ass; audio_graph.music_bed; encode width and height). Every source is a file identity from your files. Saves the video in your files.

What it asks for

  • edl (Needed, file): The edit itself, written here as JSON: nothing needs saving first. Wherever a source goes (a clip's source, a music bed, a subtitles file), give that file's identity (1f: then 64 hex) from find_file, list_files or write_file.
