Work in an app on your computer
On the person's own computer, edit a video timeline in DaVinci Resolve and do anything else its scripting allows (projects, media pool, clips, markers, colour, Fusion, Fairlight audio, rendering), or write DaVinci Resolve project, timeline and grade files that import into any edition, through the app's own tool server
Runs on the computer where the app is. Leave out operation to see every operation the app offers with the input each takes, then call again with one operation and its arguments. Which apps it can use are the rows of apps-here.json (app: davinci-resolve works in the open Resolve project in every edition, Studio through External scripting set to Local and the free edition through a helper this tool puts in Resolve's scripts folder, which Resolve runs when it opens; davinci-resolve-files writes and reads Resolve's .drp, .drt and .drx files without Resolve open). The app's own answer comes back as it said it. An app that must be running is opened in the background without taking focus; never file a Waiting on you row asking the person to open it.
What it asks for
- app (Needed, words): Which app: davinci-resolve (the open Resolve project) or davinci-resolve-files (Resolve's files, no Resolve needed)
- operation (Optional, words): One operation the app offers; leave out to list them
- arguments (Optional, details): The operation's input, as the listing shows it
